Shadow Mountain Vineyards

Shadow Mountain Vineyards is a 3rd generation family estate grape growing & winemaking business operation, founded by Agusto & Helen Mase, an Italian couple in 1944. A second generation of the family planted extensive vineyards in the 1960's and 70's.

Alexander and Pamela McGeary, the current owners acquired the estate in 1990 and have continued the family's dream and tradition of growing and producing premium varietal wine, grown in a unique micro-climate, high in the mountains of San Diego county, on the eastern slopes of the coastal range.

The present winery production facility, rebuilt from a devestating forest fire in 1995 was reopened for business in 1997. We now have special event facilities for small to medium size groups. Please call for specific details and arrangements. We invite you to stop by for a visit and enjoy the beauty of the vineyards, our wine and hospitality.

Wednesdays-Sundays 10AM- 5PM and we are open on most holidays.
