In 2025, Shadow Mountain Vineyards & Winery will celebrate the 80 years of history behind our oldest vines planted by Italian-born Gus Mase. Our winery sits at an elevation of 3,300 feet in northern San Diego County, tracing the path of the historic Butterfield Stage Route. The combination of warm sunny days, cool nights, and rocky slopes has established our location as ideal for cultivating high-quality grapes. Specializing in premium varietal table wines, we are a limited-production winery with 1,600-2,000 cases produced annually. Experience our Tasting Room at Sunshine Summit, Warner Springs, 1/2 mile off Highway 79. We craft approximately 20 different wines – reds, whites, and dessert wines – and we also offer sparkling wine for our customers. We ship to nearly 20 states through our website’s wine shop, and also sell at our tasting room Friday through Sunday.
